PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Phoenix fire trucks faced an unexpected obstacle while working an overnight house fire early Thursday morning: The hydrant outside the home didn't work.

Phoenix Fire Capt. Benjamin Santillan said an engine was able to hook up to a hydrant down the road and they were able put the flames out pretty quickly just after midnight.

The home was vacant and no one was hurt, Santillan said.

Santillan said fire crews fought five fires in Phoenix alone on Wednesday, including two within an hour of each other.

He said the cause of the vacant house fire was still under investigation.
