Jiggles Strip Club, which stood just off Interstate 5 in Tualatin, became a crumpled heap of debris Monday as Tualatin Mayor Lou Ogden led its demolition.
The strip club and its famous tag line "The Best Wiggles are at Jiggles" stood as a landmark in Tualatin for more than 30 years, much to the chagrin of some city officials. It was an 18-and-over strip club, which required it to serve juice, coffee and energy drinks instead of alcohol.
On Monday, Jiggles was cleared out to make way for the Nyberg Rivers shopping complex, which will open this fall on Southwest Nyberg Street. It will feature stores like Cabela's, New Seasons Market and Home Goods.
A spokesman for the shopping complex said he would have loved to see Jiggles gone long ago, but he said they did not cooperate.
