ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  A pair of south Georgians have been named two college football players to watch in 2014.

Albany native Rashad Greene and Wilcox County's Nick Marshall were each named to the 2014 Maxwell Award preseason watch list Monday.

The duo were among 76 players named to the list of potential players for the award given to college football's best player.

Greene was an All-ACC first team selection in 2013 after leading Florida State in receptions and yards. Greene is one of three Seminoles on the list, including 2013 finalist Jameis Winston.

Marshall scored 26 total touchdowns as the Tigers' QB last season, leading Auburn to the BCS title game. Auburn WR Sammie Coates is also on the list.

Georgia RB Todd Gurley is the only representative for the Dawgs.
