PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The woman whose name has been linked for four years to the investigation of Kyron Horman's disappearance wants to legally change her name.

According to court records, Terri Horman has petitioned to change her name to Claire Sullivan.

Terri and Kaine Horman finalized their divorce on Dec. 31, 2013. Kaine Horman was granted legal custody of their 5-year-old daughter six months later.

Kaine Horman maintained through the proceedings that his ex-wife was involved in the disappearance of his son, Kyron.

Kyron was last seen at Skyline School on June 4, 2010. Police had said Terri Horman was the last person to see Kryon that day, but during the divorce proceedings her attorney said they could prove that wasn't true.

Terri Horman has never been charged with a crime in connection to this case.

Kyron's biological mother told Fox 12 in June that Terri Horman failed three lengthy polygraph tests when questioned by investigators about the boy's disappearance.

Desiree Young continues to say she will keep putting pressure on Terri Horman by sharing new details in the case, even without the blessing of investigators, in an effort to find her son.

Terri Horman lives with family in Roseburg. Her full legal name is Terri Lynn Moulton Horman. Her request is to change it to Claire Stella Sullivan.

A hearing on the matter is scheduled for Aug. 4 in a Douglas County courtroom.
