LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

It was a birthday celebration fit for Caesar on Wednesday for the oldest and longest-serving usher in the history of the The Colosseum in Las Vegas.

Dorothy Brooks began working at the Las Vegas Strip venue when it opened 14 years ago at Caesars Palace.

On Wednesday, her co-workers threw a party for the veteran usher to celebrate her 90th birthday.

"It's just another day," Brooks, adorned with a tiara and sash, said when asked about all the fanfare. "It's just special because I got so old."

Born in Chicago in 1924, Brooks moved to Las Vegas in 1990. She has worked at the Sands Convention Center, the Sands Hotel and Casino, New York - New York, McCarran International Airport and even as a movie extra for Castle Rock.

She garnered national attention after appearing on the Anderson Cooper talk show in 2011. Cooper met her during a visit to the Las Vegas Strip, and invited her to be a guest on his show. Since then, she's become known across the country as simply, Ms. Dorothy.

Since working at one of the Strip's most iconic venues, Brooks has helped seat thousands of patrons for concerts by some of the most prolific musicians in the world - Celine Dion, Elton John and Rod Stewart, just to name a few. Dion has personally sung "Happy Birthday" to her twice.

But, that doesn't color her opinion of her favorite performer. If she had to pick just one with whom to sing a duet?

"Rod Stewart," Brooks said with a laugh.

Brooks, who loves to travel, said she doesn't have plans to slow down any time soon. In fact, she's got another of her many cruises planned later this year.
