PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland Police were called to a Safeway, on Friday evening, with reports that a man across the street was saying he was going to shoot customers and employees.

Officers learned that the suspect had stolen some items from the Safeway on NE Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, prior to making the threats.

As officers got into the area, a sergeant saw the suspect run into a neighborhood. Police, with the help of the K-9 Unit, began searing the neighborhood.

The suspect, 19-year-old Ajyeman Eugene Rober-Warfield, was located and arrested.

No gun was ever seen or located by officers.

Rober-Warfield was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Theft in the Third Degree and Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree.
