LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Citing health and family issues, Las Vegas Strip headliner Celine Dion has decided to cancel her scheduled residency performances through March 2015.

The Colosseum at Caesars Palace made the announcement on Wednesday, also saying Dion's planned fall tour in Asia was also scratched.

In the announcement, the concert venue said Dion wants to focus on her husband's recovery after his surgery to remove a cancerous tumor while also balancing time with her children.

In addition, Dion continues to battle a vocal ailment that sidelined her since late July, according to the Colosseum.

"I want to devote every ounce of my strength and energy to my husband's healing, and to do so, it's important for me to dedicate this time to him and to our children," Dion said in a statement Wednesday. "I also want to apologize to all my fans everywhere, for inconveniencing them, and I thank them so much for their love and support."

The Colosseum said those who have tickets to the canceled shows will be refunded their purchase to the credit card they used. Those who purchased with cash may present tickets at the original point of sale for a refund.
