Oregon State Police are investigating after a car hit and killed a 44-year-old woman early Saturday morning.
The crash happed around 1 a.m. on Highway 213 near Meyers road.
State Police said that Oregon City police let them know about the deadly crash. That's when they learned that a car hit and killed the adult woman.
The 22-year-old female who was driving the car involved with the crash stayed at the scene. State Police said she was cooperating with their investigation.
The investigation is continuing to determine the victim's activities prior to being struck. The woman driving the car showed no evidence of impairment.
As of Saturday morning, police had not said what caused the crash, mentioned any possible criminal charges, or released the names of the victim or the driver.
State Police said they would release more information as soon as it was authorized for release.
Investigators are asking to hear from anyone who traveled in the area prior to 12:46 a.m. and saw anything that may have been connected with this incident.
