PHILADELPHIA (WTXF/FOX) - Move over LeBron, Tiger and Peyton - another athlete on a first-name basis came front and center on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

Mo'ne Davis became the first Little League player to ever appear on the cover of the biggest sports magazine in the world.

The 13-year-old is generating quite a buzz, and her family is just trying to soak it all in.

"She is breaking all kinds of records. I guess she's making history," said Lakeisha McClean, Mo'ne's mother. "I guess she's up there with LeBron and Kobe, and right now she's like the hottest thing around."

Just two weeks ago another famed Philadelphia athlete, LeSean McCoy, was on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Beginning Wednesday, much like McCoy, Mo'ne's face graced the cover of the famed magazine at newsstands all across the country.

McLean plans to create a scrapbook of all her daughter's achievements.

She said Mo'ne enjoyed all the extra attention at first, but now prefers to focus on baseball and her teammates.

"Like she said before, it's not just her that made it this far," McLean said. "It's her team, but she just wants to be a 13-year-old child."
