Crews are expanding the search for two missing campers that were reported missing Tuesday morning.

While numerous crews continue to search from the ground, Army National Guard helicopters have joined the efforts from above.

According to Sheriff Andy Long, 35-year-old Justin Norton and 53-year-old Nicholas Santangelo were last seen late Monday night, leaving their camp site off Jordan Creek Road to go look for wildlife. A woman camping with them called the sheriff's department when the two men did not return by the morning.

Long said Norton's family told him he had hunted in the area before. Because the area has no cell service, however, Long said his office has had trouble trying to locate the men using cell towers.

"We did get one cell phone ping in an area south of Highway 6 and we're concentrating there, but those aren't 100 percent, especially in an area with terrain like this," said Long.

The men were last seen driving a dark blue Ford Explorer with the license plate WBR-922. Anyone who believes they have seen the vehicle is asked to call the Tillamook County Sheriff's Department at 503-842-2561
