LOUISVILLE, Ky., Aug. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Bowie Resource Partners, LLC ("BRP") announced today an extension of its coal supply agreements with Intermountain Power Agency ("IPA") through 2024. BRP Executive Chairman, John Siegel, commented that "we are delighted that one of our largest, most important customers is sufficiently satisfied with our clean burning coal that it would deem it beneficial to continue our relationship by adding a decade to our contracts. In this instance, both parties are demonstrating the efficacy of our 'partnership' approach to serving our customers." The contracts will generate more than $1.3 billion dollars of revenue over the 10-year term and will secure sustainable jobs, income and competitive power rates for the states of Utah and California.

BRP is the nation's largest Western Bituminous coal producer with current annual sales of 17 million tons. BRP operates four underground mines in Utah and Colorado, and is the only coal producer with export capacity through the U.S. West Coast.
