PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Dozens of people protested outside a Staples store Sunday, upset over the office supply chain's plans to offer postal services at its stores.

Protesters chanted, "The U.S. mail is not for sale" and, "Postal Staples has got to go" as they stormed the store.

The demonstration is in response to the Postal Service's plans to open post offices in 1,500 Staples stores nationwide.

The protest was led by a group called Communities and Postal Workers United, Jobs with Justice, arguing that opening postal branches in Staples stores would take jobs away from postal workers.

The protest came to an end once security personnel arrived at the store and escorted the protesters out.
