Deputies respond to reports of llamas on the loose in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

It was a big day for llamas.

Clark County sheriff's deputies responded to a report of two llamas running loose in the area of Northeast 172nd Avenue and 29th Street on Thursday afternoon.

Clark County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Fred Neiman downplayed the llamas on the run, saying loose livestock is common in the area and they're usually able to round them up quickly.

In this case, it turned out to be true. The Vancouver llamas were corralled and back in their field by 5 p.m.

However, it all happened just a few hours after two llamas on the run in Arizona captivated the Internet. Those llamas were ultimately captured following a mad dash through town that was caught on camera.
