Man arrested in Vancouver teen's murder

VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Vancouver police say they've arrested a man in connection with a 19-year-old's murder.

Gregory Wright, 34, was already in jail serving time for another crime when police linked him to Daytona Hudgins' 2014 murder.

Wright made his first appearance in court on Friday.

Police say he has a long, violent criminal history.

Here's a rundown of Wright's arrest record:

  • Kidnapping and assault in January 2015
  • Failing to register as a sex offender in 2004, 2005, 2010, 2013 and 2014
  • Third-degree child rape in 2006
  • Unlawful possession of a firearm in 2000
  • Exposing himself and burglary in 1998

Wright's arraignment is set for April 10 in Clark County Superior Court.
