A man who was missing after walking away from a care facility in Wood Village has been found safe, deputies said Friday.

An employee at a Goodwill store in Longview, Washington recognized Marvin Krause after seeing his photo on the news Thursday night.

It wasn't immediately clear how he got to Longview.

Multnomah County Adult Protective Services and Krause's care facility will coordinate returning him to the facility.

Multnomah County deputies are asking for the public's help locating a missing 62-year-old man who walked away from a care facility in Wood Village.

Marvin Krause was last seen Tuesday.

He is described as a white man, 5'10" and 150 pounds with salt and pepper colored hair and beard. He was last known to be wearing a red T-shirt, blue jeans and dark tennis shoes.

Deputies said Krause walks with a very significant limp on his right leg.

Krause has moderate dementia and is unable to care for himself, according to the sheriff's office.

He is a former transient who has frequented all areas of Portland and east Multnomah County within the past year.

Anyone who sees Krause is asked to immediately call 911. Anyone with non-emergency information is asked to call Detective Rian Hakala at 503-988-0357.
