Workers at the Capital One call center were informed Thursday morning that the location would be closing by the end of 2015.

The location, which employed 861 staffers as of March of 2014, is one of Tigard’s largest employers.

According a company spokesperson, employees will have opportunities to apply for other positions in the company. The spokesperson said that employees are being given at least 90 days notice of the change.

The company said they would still honor funding commitments to community partners, and would work with local non-profit organizations to help them provide support as the company laves Tigard.

According to reports from KELO-TV and KSFY-TV in South Dakota, Capital One also announce the closure of a call center in Sioux Falls, which employs 750 workers. The company also closed a call center in Texas in May.
