GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -

A bicyclist was cited for a DUII after riding through a red light in Gresham, according to the Gresham Police Department.

Police said Kurtis Smith, 46, was riding his bike westbound in the bike lane on Southeast Stark Street, heading in the correct direction. He rode through a red light at Northeast Cleveland Avenue as a minivan was traveling northbound on Cleveland.

Smith hit the minivan's passenger slider window, breaking it.

One teenage male passenger was slightly cut by the broken window glass.

Smith suffered lacerations on his arm and back, as well as some scrapes on his chest. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
