Police: Man arrested for DUII after short pursuit in Beaverton

BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

Beaverton Police Department received a call about a car that was repeatedly driving into the Jersey barrier on SW Schools Ferry Road over Highway 217 on Thursday.

The call came in around 3:31 a.m.

Officers found the car driving recklessly near Canyon Road and Highway 217. Police tried to stop the car but the driver refused to pull over.

Police said they pursued the car into Portland. Spike strips were used and the car finally stopped near SW Laurel and SW 21st Ave.

The driver, Elliot James Keitges, 23, was arrested and taken to Washington County Jail.

Keitges is being charged with DUII, Reckless Driving and Felony Elude.
