VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Investigators need the public's help to catch an arsonist in Vancouver after four fires were started this week.

Vancouver Police arrested one man in connection with one of the fires this past week, but three other fires are still unsolved, including a fire in a dumpster outside of a salon supply company on West 17th Street.

A woman, Stephanie, was home around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday when a fire broke out on her fence and part of her house.

Surveillance video shows her running outside with a bowl of water to douse it. When she watched the footage from a few minutes earlier, she saw a man in shorts, a golf shirt and a baseball cap walks up the driveway, carrying a bottle of liquid.

The man disappears for a moment and then, a ball of fire erupts next to the house, lighting up the whole yard.

Stephanie believes this was random, but that's what investigators are still trying to figure out after three other arsons this week.

Investigators are also looking at a possible connection to a string of arsons back in May, when someone set more than a dozen fire in West Vancouver.

Whoever is responsible, Stephanie hopes they're caught soon before someone gets hurt.

"It might not appear that we have two young children here, but we do. And we could have lost everything."

Stephanie told FOX 12 the man in the video was driving a Scion and her neighbors saw a Scion driving slowly in their cul-de-sac a few days earlier.

If you have any information about these fires, call the Vancouver Fire Marshal's Office.
