PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A missing Portland man with a condition that causes him to have amnesia was found safe after walking away from his father's work site in southern Oregon a day earlier.

Police asked for the public's help locating Michael Gazeley-Romney, 25, who was last seen at around 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the North Valley area of Josephine County.

His family searched until 7 p.m. and then requested assistance from the sheriff's department.

Search and rescue crews responded and continued the search efforts Sunday. Investigators said he had no cell phone or money and his condition causes him to not know who he is.

He was last seen near the Interstate 5 southbound Manzanita rest stop in the Grants Pass area Saturday.

By 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Oregon State Police reported that Gazeley-Romney had been located and was safe with his family. No other details were immediately released.
