Grocery retailer Kroger has issued a recall of four products over concerns they could be contaminated with salmonella.

The recall covers four Kroger-branded items:

  • Bac’n Buds - 12-ounce size
  • Coarse Ground Black Pepper - 17.1-ounce size
  • Ground Cinnamon - 18.3-ounce size
  • Garlic Powder - 24.7-ounce size

Locally, these products are available in Fred Meyer stores. Fred Meyer is one of the twenty different supermarket brands owned by Kroger. The recall does not apply to Quality Food Centers, another Kroger store chain with locations in the Northwest.

Kroger said in a release Saturday that they have removed potentially affected items from the shelves in their stores and have started a customer recall notification system.

Customers who have purchased the recalled items are advised to not consume any of the product and bring them back to the store for a refund or replacement.
