VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

A reward is being offered to track down the suspect who killed a woman in her senior housing apartment complex in Vancouver.

Sharon Allison, 66, was found dead in her ground floor apartment at the Columbia House Apartments for Seniors, 130 W. 24th St., in the morning hours of May 9.

Her death was caused by blunt head trauma and ruled a homicide, the medical examiner's office reported.

Investigators said she was last seen alive the previous day speaking to a man in the hallway near her apartment.

That man is described as white, in his 40s, between 5'7" and 5'10" with an average build and short brown hair.

A possible motive for the killing has not been released by investigators.

Allison walked with the aid of a walker and was known to frequent Main Street in downtown Vancouver, according to police. Neighbors at Columbia House Apartments said she enjoyed being around people and often spent time in the lobby around others.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case. Tips can be left online at crimestoppersoforegon.com or by calling 503-823-HELP.
