PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Danny Spillers is back in jail after being arrested Friday night in Fairview.

The U-S Marshalls Fugitive Task Force arrested Spillers near a home on Cedar Street.

They say Spillers tried to escape on foot but was captured and found with a handgun.

Its unknown how he obtained the weapon.

A woman is also facing charges for hindering prosecution.

Daniel Spillers, who goes by Danny, was discovered missing after a morning inmate count at 5:30 a.m. Sunday August 2nd.

Investigators determined that Spillers broke a kitchen door open, which also broke a window, and escaped.

Spillers entered Oregon Department of Corrections custody on June 9 on four counts of second-degree burglary and one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in Multnomah County.

His earliest release date would have been April 2017.
