NEWBERG, OR (KPTV) -

An IT technician at George Fox University came up with an out-of-the-box way to roll around campus, and it has gone viral.

Mike Campadore had the idea of creating a wheel that consisted only of iMac computer boxes, which he called the iWheel.

The George Fox University Bruin Blog (http://blogs.georgefox.edu/bruinblog/?p=3170) noted that the project had taken over a year to complete, as they had to wait for new shipments of Macintosh computers to arrive.

According to the blog, Campadore stored the computer boxes in a classroom. After the latest shipment arrived, he finally had the number of boxes to complete his project.

Campadore estimated to take 34 boxes to create the wheel. In fact 36 iMacs later, the project was complete.

A video of a test run of the iWheel was posted on YouTube, and has since gone viral generating over 45,700 views. Word of the iWheel made it onto Reddit, stirring up conversation leading to 3,000 comments according to the blog.

After a picture of the iWheel was posted online, there was a Photoshop frenzy. It became inserted into various scenarios, even one person turned the wheel into a doughnut.
