PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Former Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota recorded a video response to a little boy who was distraught at the news that Mariota wouldn't be returning to Oregon this season.

The Tennessee Titans, who drafted Mariota in April, posted the 20-second video response on Twitter Wednesday.

In the video, Mariota tells 3-year-old Clive Johnson not to worry, because Oregon coach Mark Helfrich and the rest of the Ducks team will do just fine without him.

He also says the Titans will get Clive set up with a new Tennessee jersey with Mariota's name on the back.

"Hopefully you can now support the Ducks and the Titans and become a new fan," Mariota said. "Go Ducks, go Titans, and we'll see you soon."

Clive got Mariota's attention when a video of him bursting into tears showed up online.

When asked about Mariota's potential replacements, Clive chokes up and says, "I want Marcus Mariota to come back."

There's still no word from the Ducks as to who the starting quarterback will be this fall.
