Police searching for man who inappropriately touched three women in Tualatin

TUALATIN, OR (KPTV) -

Tualatin Police are looking for an apparent serial groper, after three women reported similar incidents in the last month.

Marcia Olenslager is one of them.

“This guy needs to be put behind bars, he needs to be stopped,” she told Fox 12 Friday.

She was walking along a popular trail behind Byrom Elementary in broad daylight Thursday afternoon, when she said a man riding a bike came up behind her and grabbed her.

“He grabs and gropes me pretty seriously,” she explained.  “It was so startling, and I took a second, but I knew what had happened and it just angered me, besides upsetting me.  I just yelled at him and called him a name and told him to get the heck out of here.”

But she said he never said a word and rode off like nothing happened.

When she reported it to police she was surprised to hear she wasn’t alone.

Tualatin Police say two others – including a juvenile girl – reported being groped as well.  One of the cases was also near Byrom Elementary, while the other was on Sagert Street near the I-5 overpass.

In two instances, the man was on a small framed mountain bike, but in the third case he was walking.

He’s described as a slender white male, 5'10", tan skin, in his late teens, with short, dark hair.

If you have any information about these incidents or the suspect, please contact the Tualatin Police Department (503) 691-4800.

“If he’s doing this with others, he needs help,” Olenslager added.  “He intentionally did it, and I figured it wasn’t the first time and really, that’s why I went to the police.  It may not be the only type of thing that he may do and it could get more violent.  I don’t want to see that happen, I want this person off the street.”
