16-year-old injured in overnight shooting in North Portland

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland Police are continuing to investigate a shooting that happened Friday night in North Portland. 

Police said that at 11:52 p.m. they received a call of a possible shooting at the Q-Center at 4115 N. Mississippi Ave. 

When officers arrived they said they found a large group of young adults outside who had been at a social event at that location. 

According to police, they determined that a fight had broken out inside the location, which appeared to have resulted in shots being fired both inside and outside of the building. 

Investigators now have learned that an individual was shot during the event. They said that a 16-year-old male, suffered a non-life threatening wound and was treated at an area hospital. 

The Gang Violence Response Team has responded to assist the investigation.
