TIGARD, OR (KPTV) -

The City of Tigard lifted a boil water order issued over the weekend after a drop in water pressure.

The city said the loss of pressure in the Upper Bull Mountain area on Sunday morning could have allowed bacteria to enter the water system, so it issued the boil advisory as a precaution.

City officials collected water samples and as of Monday morning, the city said it was safe to drink the water. The city said there were no known contaminants in the water.

The pump failure that resulted in the loss of pressure has been fixed.
