TUALATIN, OR (KPTV) -

A suspected serial groper and registered sex offender was arrested after exposing himself to people at a Tualatin park, according to police.

Tualatin police responded to Ibach Park at 10455 S.W. Ibach Road on Tuesday afternoon on reports of a man exposing himself.

Witnesses said after the suspect was confronted by people at the park, he ran away. Officers said a description of the suspect matched that of a man wanted for groping several women over the past few weeks in Tualatin.

Officers, with the help of witnesses at the park, were able to locate the suspect a short distance away.

Sean Luff, 22, of Tualatin, was arrested and booked in the Washington County Jail on charges of third-degree sex abuse, public indecency and probation violation.

"You really don't think about that stuff in Tualatin, it's scary to hear about, but definitely good to hear he's been caught," said Linc Candia, who heard about the case and was in Ibach Park Tuesday.

Police said after interviewing Luff, they were able to connect at least two unsolved groping cases to him.

A woman told FOX 12 last week she was the victim of a groper on a bicycle while walking on a popular trail behind Byrom Elementary School in broad daylight.

“He grabs and gropes me pretty seriously,” she said. “It was so startling, and I took a second, but I knew what had happened and it just angered me, besides upsetting me. I just yelled at him and called him a name and told him to get the heck out of here.”

The woman said the man never said a word and rode off on his bicycle.

On Tuesday, she spoke again with Fox 12, expressing thanks to police, and citizens providing tips, for catching Luff so quickly.

"I'm so excited they were able to catch him and make it quick, too, so now the citizens of Tualatin feel a little more safe tonight," she said.

Police believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. Anyone who has information related to Luff or possible additional victims is asked to call Tualatin police at 503-692-4800 or the non-emergency dispatch line at 503-629-0111.

Court records show Luff was convicted of third-degree sex abuse in February and ordered to register as a sex offender.
