A barn fire has destroyed 2,000 tons of straw and will likely burn for days, according to Lebanon Fire District.

Lebanon Fire District said they responded to the barn fire, located near HWY 20 and Bohlken Dr., around 12:31 a.m.

When crews arrived they found the barn fully engulfed in flames.

Crews said they tried to douse the fire but due to the large amount of fuel load contained in the structure and lack of reliable water supply, the decision was made to let the fire burn itself out.

A viewer was able to get drone video of the fire with permission from the fire department to film.

Fire crews will remain on scene to minimize any flare ups.

LFD said the fire is suspicious in nature and the investigation has been turned over to the Linn County Sheriff's Office.

No injuries were reported.

The estimated property loss is at $250,000.
