Investigators with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Department are looking for help identifying two suspected car prowlers who are accused of breaking into a woman’s car at 1000 Acres Dog Park and using her credit card to go on a shopping spree.

Jessica Doyle said she returned to find the rear window of her car shattered when she returned from taking her dog to the Sandy River Delta.

“It was really beyond me that somebody could break into cars in the middle of the day in a really populated park,” said Doyle.

Doyle said investigators told her someone likely watched her put her purse in the back of her car from a distance, then waited until she left to break in.

“I’m really angry. I really want these people to get caught,” said Doyle.

Investigators released surveillance images of two suspects they say used Doyle’s card at a Target store in Fairview.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, there is typically a dramatic increase in car prowls at public parks spike during the summer months.

Anyone with information about the suspects in this latest car prowl is asked to call the MCSO Tip Line at 503-261-2847.  Callers can remain anonymous.
