PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland is the least religious city in the U.S. and should be avoided "like the plague," according to conservative commentator Glenn Beck.

A list posted posted on Glennbeck.com this week is titled, "Glenn's list of 15 cities to avoid like the plague when things go bad."

Portland takes the top spot.

How did the author, radio host and television personality come up with his rankings?

“This is the list of the top 15 least religious cities in America,” a quote from Beck says. “These are the cities to avoid like the plague. And if you look at that list, these are the cities that already having trouble. We haven’t even hit the road bump.”

San Francisco is the second most godless city in the U.S., according to Beck, with Seattle coming in third.

St. Louis is 15th, but, according to the site, "They're all bad, but this goes from bad to 'Don't even step foot in there.'"

Some in the Rose City are proud to be the opposite of Beck's vision for America. Mayor Charlie Hales tweeted, in response to Beck's list, "We win lots of awards as a city. This one might be the sweetest. #pdxvalidation."
