ASHLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A woman was cited for DUII and assault after a rollover crash on Interstate 5 in southern Oregon sent her and her three children to the hospital.

Emergency crews responded to the highway near Milepost 16.5 in Ashland at 6:45 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators said Michele Roux-Mantoan, 34, of Carmichael, California, lost control of her 2004 Honda CR-V while heading north, crossed the center median and rolled the SUV several times. The vehicle came to a stop on its wheels in the southbound lanes.

Roux-Mantoan and her three children, ages 1, 5 and 10 years old, were taken to the hospital.

Police said the baby was properly secured in a rear-facing child seat and did not receive serious injuries. The other two children were seriously injured, with the 5-year-old being taken to Oregon Health & Science University in Portland for further treatment.

Roux-Mantoan suffered an injury to her hand, according to police. She was wearing a seat belt.

Roux-Mantoan was cited and released on charges of DUII, second-degree assault and two counts of third-degree assault.
