PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Police arrested a man accused of stabbing another man in the neck over a dispute involving potato chips.

Officers responded to the 9300 block of North Fiske Avenue at 9 p.m. Saturday.

They located the victim, identified as 30-year-old Robert Alexander, who was suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injury, which was described as non-life threatening.

The suspect, 56-year-old Clarence Dorn Jr., was found a short time later at McCoy Park and taken into custody without incident.

Investigators said Dorn and Alexander know each other and this was not a random assault. According to police, the two got into an argument after Alexander accused Dorn of eating potato chips off a child's plate.

Dorn was booked in the Multnomah County Jail on the charge of second-degree assault.
