VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Police arrested a Vancouver property manager accused of sexually assaulting a potential renter.

Police said on Aug. 7, David Clinton Campos, 35, was showing a vacant rental property to a woman on the 300 block of West McLoughlin Boulevard. While Campos was alone with the woman in the apartment, he held her down on the floor and sexually assaulted her, according to court documents.

A probable cause affidavit states the woman told Campos "no" multiple times. She described him as "overpowering," according to the affidavit.

"During this incident (she) was not able to leave the apartment on her own free will," the arresting officer's declaration of probable cause states.

Campos admitted to the sexual assault and told officers he understood the victim to say "no," court documents state, "which to him indicated that she was not willing to be a participant of the sexual encounter."

Campos was arrested on Tuesday and taken to the Clark County Jail. He is being charged with indecent liberties with forcible compulsion and unlawful imprisonment.

Campos made his first appearance in court Wednesday. His bail was set at $10,000. He is due back in court Sept. 9.

Detectives are asking anyone else who may have also been a victim of Campos to contact Vancouver Police Detective Tom Topaum at 360-772-2139 or tom.topaum@cityofvancouver.us.
