PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

General Mills on Wednesday announced it was voluntarily recalling some Cascadian Farm green beans after a package tested positive for listeria bacteria.

The recall includes 10-ounce bags of frozen Cascadian Farm Cut Green Beans. The packages have "Better If Used By" dates on the package of "10APR2016" or "11APR2016." No other batches of green beans were affected.

The green beans were distributed nationwide and General Mills said anyone who has them in their freezer should throw them away.

Listeria is a bacterial infection that can cause fever, muscle aches, diarrhea and other gastrointestinal symptoms. It's especially harmful to pregnant women, older adults and those with weakened immune systems.

Anyone with questions about the recall can contact Cascadian Farm at 1-800-624-4123.
