CASCADE LOCKS, OR (KPTV) -

A fast moving fire was burning in Cascade Locks near the City Hall and several homes were evacuated.

Hood River Sheriff's Office believe the fire started by a transformer explosion near the train tacks.

The fire burned a little over 2 acres in a heavily residential area.

Homes along Hassalo, Lakeside and Harvest Queen streets were evacuated.

Hood River Sheriff's Office said the fire has been knocked down and crews are mopping up.

Two shed type structures burned. No homes have been burned.
