ROCK CREEK, OR (KPTV) -

A Rock Creek man is missing and poses a danger to himself, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

WCSO said a family called saying Russell Smeed, 50, has been missing since earlier this month.

The family said they found a note left by Smeed that contained self-harm statements. His family tried to locate him him but were unsuccessful.

WCSO Deputies said they have followed known leads but have not been able to locate Smeed. The Sheriff's Office is now asking for the public's help.

According to WCSO, Smeed left on foot with a grey toy poodle and was last seen wearing a baseball cap, bright tank top, dark grey shorts, brown leather boots and was carrying a small black backpack.

Smeed is 6'3", 230 pounds, has blue eyes, brown hair and a brown beard. He has several tattoos: a skull and flames on his left arm, a clown face with a smoking gun on his right arm and a tribal skull with a top hat on the left side of his chest.

The family said they don't know where Smeed might have gone. He did live in Klamath Falls over a year ago, but there is not evidence to suggest he has traveled to Klamath Falls.

If you have information on the whereabouts of Smeed, please call 911.
