WOODBURN, OR (KPTV) -

The Woodburn Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a burglary suspect.

Police said on Aug. 27 on Championship Drive in Woodburn, a man broke into car outside of the victim's home and stole items from the car. The man tried to steal the car but was unable to.

The suspect was able to get into the garage by using a garage door opener he found in the victims car. The suspect stole several items from the garage.

Police said the white four-door Acura the suspect was driving was stolen from a parking lot in Salem a few weeks earlier. That car was found at a rest area on Interstate 5 near Woodburn by Oregon State Police.

Police said the suspect appears to be Hispanic with a medium to heavy build. The suspect also appears to walk with a slight limp or abnormal stride.

If anyone has information relating to this crime or the identity of the suspect, please call Det. Cpl. Aaron Devoe at 503-982-2345.
