CORVALLIS, OR (KPTV) -

A burglary suspect was arrested and his girlfriend was cited after police said a controlled buy led them to not only stolen items, but the discovery that the couple was using meth while their five children were in their home.

Detectives identified a suspect accused of selling stolen property online from a home burglary.

Police said 33-year-old Lucas Foster of Corvallis sold stolen electronics to an undercover officer on Tuesday. Officers said foster was in possession of methamphetamine at the time of his arrest.

Detectives then contacted Foster's girlfriend, identified as Stacey Barnard, at their home. During a search of the home, additional pieces of stolen property were recovered from burglaries and car prowls, police said, as well as meth and numerous pieces of meth paraphernalia, including packaging materials, scales and glass pipes.

During subsequent interviews, investigators said they learned the couple used meth around their five children, ages 2 to 14 years old.

Foster was booked in the Benton County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, endangering the welfare of a minor, theft, burglary, and criminal mischief. His bail was set at $362,500.

Police said Foster is connected to two burglaries and three car prowls at this time. Police said it does not appear the car prowl victims reported the incidents to law enforcement, so police are working to identify and contact them.

Barnard was cited on charges of possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a minor. She was not booked in jail.
