PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A useful iPhone app helped police arrest a man suspected of stealing a car and leading them on a high speed chase.

Police said the man and a female passenger were driving a silver 2001 Geo Tracker and when they led police on a chase. The suspects then stole a silver 2006 Subaru Forester from a woman at a gas station on Northeast Airport Way and Glenn Widing Drive.

According to police, the woman was checking the air in her tires when the suspects got into the driver's seat and sped away.

Police used "Find my iPhone" app to track the victim's phone that was in the car, which led police to the location of the male suspect.

A 28-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was arrested.

Police said a female suspect has not been located.
