MEDFORD, OR (AP) -

Burger fans are bracing for waits of more than three hours and extra traffic in Medford as the city prepares for Oregon's first In-N-Out Burger to open.

The Mail Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1EE1mb5 ) that city transportation manager Alex Georgevitch met with other Medford officials to make a traffic plan to prevent backups on Highway 62 and possibly Interstate 5. The Oregon Department of Transportation has expressed concern about traffic problems.

In-N-Out owners still have not disclosed when the store will open, but unofficial reports point to a Wednesday grand opening.

Georgevitch says if traffic gets too bad the city may adjust the timing of traffic signals.

City officials say they have received calls from In-N-Out fans from across the state, including Pendleton, which is about a 7 hour drive.
