PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

One man has died from a suspected heroin overdose and two others are behind bars.

Portland Police Bureau officers arrested Joel Montes, 28, and Boris Borrayo, 44, Tuesday.

Officers with PPB’s Drug and Vice Division said the men had more than three pounds of heroin on them.

Their arrests came after a 53-year-old man was found dead in his residence at the Biltmore Hotel in northeast Portland after overdosing on heroin.

An investigation into his death by DVD officers, the Central Precinct Street Crimes Unit and investigators with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office led officers to the two suspects.

Both Montes and Borrayo are in jail on multiple drug related charges. DVD officers said the seized heroin had a wholesale value of $65,000.
