80-year-old man rescued after 75-foot fall at Multnomah Falls

Multnomah Falls, OR (KPTV) -

A rope rescue team responded to Multnomah Falls on Monday after an 80-year-old man fell 75 feet down an embankment.

Emergency crews were called out at 11:40 a.m. They learned the man had fallen down a slippery embankment and sustained a head injury.

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Green Hornets, U.S. Forest Service and Corbett firefighters assisted in the rescue operation.

The man was safely back up on the trail by 1:22 p.m., according to deputies.

The man's injuries were determined to be minor.
