MCSO detectives searching for medals stolen from family of fallen Navy SEAL

CORBETT, OR (KPTV) -

Tuesday morning Multnomah County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a burglary at a residence in Corbett.

According to detectives, the burglary occurred between 9:00 p.m. Monday and 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, when unknown suspects forcibly entered the home and stole several pieces of personal jewelry, property and several military medals that were awarded to a Navy SEAL who died while serving.

The family of Jeffery Lucas, who died during Operation Enduring Freedom in June of 2005, said that among the medals stolen were also two SEAL Team 10 challenge coins.

Detective are asking that anyone with information on this theft to please call MCSO Detective Ken Yohe at 503-261-2847.
