Deputies: Man calls 911 to say he killed someone

Posted: Updated:
ALBANY, OR (KPTV) -

A death investigation is under way in Linn County, after a man called 911 to say he had killed someone inside of an Albany home.

Deputies say 911 dispatchers got not just one, but two 911 calls from the home on SE Scravel Hill road Wednesday.

Deputies say during the first call around 4 p.m., 911 dispatchers could hear someone yelling in the background and then the line was disconnected.

Then, during a second call, deputies say a man told dispatchers that he had killed someone.

When deputies got to the home, they say they found a woman dead inside.  FOX 12 has also learned that deputies have detained one man as well.

Deputies would not say if the two were related, or know each other at all.

Deputies have not said how that woman died, but are simply calling the death suspicious in nature.

Deputies say they are still interviewing possible witnesses and trying to figure out what led up to all of this.

They hope to release those details, as soon as they can.
