PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

On Thursday, cyclists set off for a 19-day cross-country bike relay from Cannon Beach.

It's called the 'Coast 2 Coast 4 Cancer Ride' and proceeds benefit Stand Up To Cancer.

Fifteen members from the Bristol-Myers Squibb Oncology team embarked from Cannon Beach then headed to a rally in Portland to raise awareness for cancer research.

Bristol-Myers Squibb will match all donations dollar-for-dollar up to $500,000 to support Stand Up To Cancer.

Over the 19-day bike relay, more than 80 Bristol-Myers Squibb employees will ride a combined total of nearly 2,900 miles.
