PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland Fire & Rescue and the American Red Cross came together for the second consecutive Sept. 11 Memorial Blood Drive in memory of those lost during the 2001 terrorist attacks.

The blood drive was held at Station 1 in downtown Portland.

This years goal was to get 100 pints of blood and that goal was beat by 15.

The Red Cross team collected 115 pints from donors. Last year, the drive brought in 74 pints.

Today's donations will help many people in need of transfusion.

PF&R and the Red Cross would like to thank everyone who donated.
