The Oregon Youth Authority and the Oregon State Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man who escaped the Tillamook Youth Correction Facility on Saturday.

According to an OYA spokesman, Joshua Garvin, 22, escaped from the facility sometime after 12 p.m.

OSP are conducting a search and it's still ongoing.

Garvin is from Clackamas County and is described as 5'9", 180 pounds and has short blond hair. He was last seen wearing a camouflage Duck Dynasty sweatshirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.

Police said Garvin may pose a danger to himself or others. The public is urged not to approach him, but to call law enforcement if he is seen.

Garvin was in OYA custody for sex offenses and was sentenced as a juvenile.
