A convicted felon is in jail facing accusations that he planned to take out teachers, staff and students at a Christian school in Portland.

In a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court, an FBI agent states Oregon State Police received an email from an online forum stating that someone had made a threatening post on Sept. 4.

The post was written by someone who claimed to have attended a Christian school in Portland and suffered abuse at the hands of teachers and administrators, the complaint said.

Investigators have not identified the school.

The criminal complaint states the poster planned to enter the school's middle school building and "catch each one of the abusive teachers and mow them down with a shotgun," then move on the elementary school building and kill more "abusers" before turning to the students.

Oregon State Police obtained the IP address of the poster and then notified the FBI, who identified the owner of the IP address as Zachariah Peterson, 29, of Portland.

According to the criminal complaint, Portland police, Oregon State Police and FBI agents on Sept. 10 went to Peterson's home, where he admitted to making the threatening post.

The complaint said investigators found four guns in Peterson's home, including one shotgun, a .22 caliber handgun and two rifles.

Peterson was arrested on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm.

He was convicted in 2007 on felony drug charges of manufacturing, possessing and distributing marijuana, according to the FBI.

Peterson is being held at the Multnomah County Jail.
